where i've been and where i am.

school is trying to kill me, even in the midst of summertime. however, i've found what appears to be a workable solution over here at tumblr. somehow i've convinced myself that "blogging" to tumblr is going to be easier and less time-consuming than maintaining this one. i'm going to try to make the switch completely soon and keep my posts there short and sweet so as to keep up posting momentum. thanks for joining me on the journey.

blog update

as you can tell, school has been keeping me too busy to regularly update the blog. so, i've decided to taken a break from the blog. i'll still post, but not with the daily regularity i'd prefer. instead, i'm going to post here when my time and energy allows and focus more attention on the slightly less needy chictopia blog you can follow me on instead.

there have been several times in the past year or so that i have tried to convince myself that i am over anthropologie. however, somehow i slipped up last week and in a moment of weakness looked through their new dresses for spring. i was slayed. i want each of these and i want them now.

maybe you remember when i got my bike last year. i still love winnifred, although i don't take her out as much now that it's freezing and wet. as the sun becomes a bit less reluctant and the temperatures rise, i hope to bike more frequently than my current once-a-week average. however, if i had a super cool, fancy bike helmet, i might be a touch more motivated. the helmet i have now is fine, but when it rains i still get wet and it's just not quite as chic as these. just sayin'.

they always manage to underwhelm me with the majority of their offerings but then suck me in with one piece i suddenly begin fantasizing about during daily "outfit selection" time. this dress is that piece for me right now. i love the tongue-in-cheek reference to childhood paired with the oh-so-adult colors. i think it's lovely and could be dressed up or down. plus, it would look fantastic with my new leather jacket.
